Cupping Clinic - Clinical Research

Is cupping the latest trend? Does it actually work? Is this just pseudoscience packaged with a pretty bow?

For those who don't know, recently famous celebrities have been getting cupping done. These include Michael Phelps and Gwyneth Paltrow. Now, some sceptics may think that this is just a cupping craze that'll eventually die out and it's a waste of time, money and even....blood.

However, cupping has been around for thousands of years and for good reasons too.

The principle of cupping over the years have changed and improved too but the principle of it remains. A vacuum using small cups is created, lifting the skin up and then small surgical incisions are made. Blood gathers in the cup and becomes gelatinous and is removed. There is now a greater increase of fresh oxygenated blood circulating the body.

Many people who have muscle pain say when they have a cupping session, their pains are alleviated and eventually with continuous sessions it permanently goes away. These have been supported by scientific studies.

If you have a few more minutes to spare, click on the link above and read the methods and result for this study that concluded 'cupping therapy is effective in relieving persistent non- specific lower back pain.'

There are many more studies like this that investigate the effect of hijama on certain illnesses and disease like high blood pressure. These scientific studies clearly demonstrate the benefits of hijama.

Maybe you should book a session. You can't know it 'till you try it.
